Current work:

I am working in the area of requirement engineering based on information extraction and business rules appraoch. Software requirement engineering is concerned with the identification of the goals to be achieved by the envisioned system, the operational goals into services and constraints, and the assignment of responsibilities for the resulting requirements to agents such as persons, devices, and software. It is stated that it consists of software requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management. Therefore, software requirements management is the planning and controlling of the requirements elicitation, specification, analysis, and verification activities. Of course, requirements management becomes a part of requirements engineering. Based on this, requirement engineering is very importance for software development because errors in requirements are pervasive, dangerous, and costly. It is well known that the majority of software errors are introduced during the requirements phase. This is because much of requirements are specified in natural language format makes it hard to identify inconsistencies due to too ambiguous for specification purpose.

As a result of the study above, it could be said that one problem of software development is requirement process based on too ambiguous for specification purpose in natural language format. Therefore, if we can handle this state of software engineering, it may help to reduce errors and cost of software development. Then if the main specifications can be extracted from natural language format of users' requirement, they may be used to check the correctness consistency of software engineering.
