Jantima Polpinij

I am Miss Jantima Polpinij. I received a bachelor of science in Computer Science from Ramkhamheang University and a master of science in Computer Science from Kasetsart University, Thailand. My master thesis is titled "Probabilistic Models for Analyzing the Factors Affecting Car Insurance Risk". Then I worked under Assoc.Prof. Chuleerat Charuskulchai and Prof. Peter Haddawy. This research explored an alternative technique from machine learning to analyze the data of business for the purpose of prediction. Based on this work, I continue to use machine learning approach for data mining, information retrieval, natural langauge processing, information extraction, image processing, and bioinformatics.

Now, I am a PhD student of School of Computer Science and Software Engineering (SCSSE), Faculty of Informatics, University of Wollongong. I work under Prof. Aditya Ghose within the Decision Systems Lab (DSL). I just started my PhD programme on July 22, 2007. My work is in the area of business rules discovery and the rules are applied for business process modeling, especially in term of requirement engineering.
