Logos

Below are some logos I've attempted to make for our lab. One is now in use. You can download it as a tarball of EPS, SVG, PDF, PNG and GIF files. All have used the colours from the University's own logo/shield/crest/whatever. All attempt to some kind of symbolism representing the various research themes of the DSL.

Strings

Themes are:

• constraint networks
• heterogeneous agents
• supply chains

Cubes

Themes are:

• planning problems (manipulating cubes)
• fundamental AI problems (modelling the world)
• reasoning with incomplete information (missing lines)
• constraints (original computer vision application of constraints)

Circles

My personal favourite. Themes are:

• agent negotiation (circles represent 'acceptable regions' for different agents).
• belief revision (similar to above)
• constraint networks (hypergraphs)
• overlapping areas of research (thanks to Peter Hyland)
