Aim of the RoboCup Soccer Simulation League Event @ PRIMA 2007 The RoboCup Soccer Simulation League Event @ PRIMA 2007 has been formulated as a community building exercise. The aim is to foster interest in the Robocup Soccer Simulation League in the Asia-Pacific region (and especially in the SE Asian universities in close proximity to the venue – Bangkok). In the first instance, we welcome but are not expecting entries to be of the standard seen in the international competition. However, we would hope that in the foreseeable future, teams from this region will be competitive at the international level. This is a great opportunity for young and old teams within the region to exchange experience. Joining the Competition This competition will closely follow the rules of the 2D Robocup Atlanta 2007 Competition that are available from the link below. A core set of rules for this event will be published once we have an indication of team participation (numbers etc.). This competition is open to all teams. Interested participants can register by sending a registration e-mail and team description paper to the organising committee chair Chee-Fon Chang (cfc@uow.edu.au) for qualification before the 17th of September, 2007. The registration email should contain the following details.
In the spirit of promoting RoboCup related research, special arrangements will be made for teams interested in submitting a paper to the PRIMA 2007(i.e. a research, not team description, paper). Please submit an abstract before 24th of August and the final paper by 17th of September, 2007. Competition Rules We are finalizing the rules and structure of this event, as details regarding participation are received. For a rough guideline as to the structure of this event, please refer to a sample of the 2007 Atlanta RoboCup 2D Simulation competition rules found below - Sample: http://wiki.cc.gatech.edu/robocup/index.php/Soccer_Simulation Software Downloads - RoboCup Soccer Simulation Server (http://sserver.sourceforge.net/) Important Dates The event will be held during the period November 21-23, 2007 (actual schedule to be finalized) in Bangkok, Thailand.
